Bandai Namco Filmworks a annoncé que la franchise Ghost in the Shell accueillera en 2026 un nouvel anime. C'est le studio Science SARU qui produira ce projet, pour l'instant présenté sous le titre Kôkaku Kidôtai (The Ghost in the Shell). Bandai Namco Filmworks, Kodansha, Science SARU et Production I.C font partie de son comité de production.

Bandai Namco Filmworks a également annoncé qu'une exposition dédiée à Masamune Shirow ouvrira ses portes au printemps 2025.
